Il Palasaccio takes its origins in 1989 as dogs training area, developing itself during the years, till becoming a hunting agritourist firm, managing the hunt on a territory of 600 hectares, regulating entrance of the people and the withdraws of the game.
This activity takes place from 1st August to 15th March for the claw animals, from the third Sunday of September to 31st January for the birds and hares, and from 1st February to the third week of September for the dogs training by shoot to the birds. The game of the reserve is made of pheasant, partridge, bobwhite quail, quail, wild boar, fallow deer, mouflon, roe deer, deer and hare. The whole activity takes place in a wide territory uncultivated and uninhabitated, equipped with an office and a meeting point represented by a country rural home.
In 1995 the tourist firm opened also a restaurant, inside the reserve, to make more complete the service to the clients fans of hunting. In 2000, then, the management of the restaurant was sold.
The activity of hunting, basic element of the reserve Il Palasaccio, developed itself during the years, causing also a change in the clients, not only local, but also coming from different regions, with the necessity to stay more days. So, in 2005 it was opened also the Albergo Gli Orzali, besides a shop of clothes and accessories for the hunt, dogs, weapons and free time. Then, for all the clients, it was built also a small meeting room with a capacity of 20/50 people.
To make the stay more pleasant and suitable for a good time, also during the seasons when it is not possible to practise the hunt, Il Palasaccio built also a swimming pool, and in 2006 bought Villa Palasaccio, to make the activities wider for a more complete and various tourism.
And so, today, Il Palasaccio is a wonderful game reserve dipped into the scenery of Appennino Tosco Emiliano, for holidays in Tuscany and stays in Mugello dedicated to every tourist target, in the sign of comfort, sport and artistic beauty.
